How to use Adtrackz Gold Dynamic Subcampaigns to massively speed up creating trackers

I have recently noticed many people giving me Adtrackz Gold, ATG, links w/o subcampaigns and after talking with a few who have never heard of dynamic subcampaigns I figured I would write this post to show people how to use them.

ATG is a very popular self hosted tracker program. I use it in addition to QCC mainly because of the quickness of creating trackers. The typical format of an ATG link is http://yourdomain.com/adtrackz/go.php?c=campaign. When you have been around this business long enough you will see hundreds or thousands of these type links. When you need a new tracker you login to ATG and create the tracker which can take a couple minutes. An alternative is to use dynamic subcampaigns which generates the tracker on the fly. You do need to already have an existing tracker campaign. You can actually create complete campaigns on the fly but that is not as useful for what we want to do.

So lets say you have a squeeze page at http://yourdomain.com/sqz and you have created a tracker already in ATG  http://yourdomain.com/adtrackz/go.php?c=sqz and now you want to buy a SOLO ad to send to it so you need a new tracker. You simply take the already existing tracker and add a subcampaign to the end of it and you are done. So if you buy a solo from Bob you could just add &s=bob1 to the end giving http://yourdomain.com/adtrackz/go.php?c=sqz&s=bob1 and the new tracker will create automatically sending them to http://yourdomain.com/sqz.

ATG will give you individual stats for each subcampaign under the main campaign in the stats screen. In the below example d_bonus1 is a campaign and links and mini are subcampaigns. This is just a simple example. My main squeeze page ones have tens to hundreds of subcampaigns.

Each new subcampaign will use the same URL as the base campaign. So now you want to get a SOLO from Sue so you just use the same base campaign and just add &s=sue1. Youcan’t use uppercase in ATG and I have added the 1 to indicate the first SOLO from Sue.

Do you see how simple that was to setup the tracker. If you know the base URL it takes only seconds. In a future post I will show you how to simplify the base URL also.

After you create the tracker I would suggest testing it by pasting it into your browser just to make sure it works, which you should always do anyway.

This is only going to speed thing up if you send multiple SOLOs, Swaps, ClickBanks, etc to the same squeeze page or other link. If the page is completely different each time this will not help.

The only drawback to using subcampaigns is that you cannot look at the referring URLs for the subcampains individually. You can only look at all referring URLs to the whole campaign.

Let me know your comments or questions.

If you don’t already have ATG and want to add this quick tracker setup please purchase through my below affiliate link.

Hi Ed,

I am one of Marc Milburns students.

I need a tracking solution – I currently own a little plugin called wp link tracker which I purchased off the Warrior Forum but I haven’t yet deployed it. I know nothing about tracking.

Marc recommends QCC, a more expensive solution than ATG. I would welcome some advice on this as you seem to have both – I don’t really want to spend $297 on QCC if I don’t have to.

Could you advise me with the benefit of your experience of both. Specifically how do you use these tools in your business.

kind regards

Mark

Well, thanks to your blog I’m certainly up to speed on what you’re doing now……which is pretty hysterical since I’m your sister!

Ed – this was a revelation to me – I have always just created a new link in Adtrackz Gold each time I used my page for a swap, solo or click banking. An absolute Godsend – especially on Christmas Eve – thanks – and have a wonderful Christmas.
