A low cost solution to self hosted autoresponder is RapidMailer. RapidMailer is $67 one time fee and can be run on a shared hosting account using either a 3rd party fee based SMTP server or just the local IP for free. It is wordpress based and gives open and click stats. You should also upgrade to the pro version with unlimited domain license to allow changing domains as explained below. It is $27 additional but highly worth it.

Using the free local ip you can easily get 50-200 clicks a day from your imported list of openers. You should be able to inbox gmail, yahoo, aol, hotmail. You will have to change domains when you stop inboxing. I can show you how to do that in a few minutes without having to reinstall Rapidmailer if you buy RapidMailer from my affiliate link.

I use it with the local ip on special shared hosting accounts that will allow up to 1k emails sent per hour for free. You just need to pay for the inexpensive shared hosting but make sure to get hosting that allows multiple domains and not just a single domain. You should always buy only the minimum duration hosting you can as you might get shut down. If you get shut down just move to another host. There are plenty of them. Monthly fees are only $5-$12 per month. Do NOT use your current hosting account or use this accont for anything else except mailing
